excessive checking when build: conflict with /usr/lib/libqwt

Hello.
I think that this checking is excessive:
cd src/ && /usr/lib/qt4/bin/qmake /home/builduser/RPM/BUILD/qwt-6.0.1/src/src.pro -o Makefile
Project ERROR: local build will conflict with /usr/lib/libqwt.*
make: *** [src/Makefile] Error 2
Package should be compiled on host where another version installed.

This is a problem of qmake, when Qt and Qwt are installed in the same directory. Unfortunately this is something most Linux distributions do and I don't have a workaround for. So all I can do is to stop the build process and let the user solve the conflict ( instead of letting the user run into an invalid build ). Read the comments in qwtbuild.pri.
All you can do is:
- send a bug report for qmake
- talk to the package maintainer of your distribution to install Qwt and Qt into different directories
- talk to the package maintainer of your distribution to modify the qmake script files
