Version 0.2 of the QwikMail SMTP server has been released! This new version includes a dynamic configuration system through simple text-based files, selective email domains to accept mail for, and primitive anti-spamming features. Over the next few months, qwik-smtpd will expand its feature set, and become a speedy MTA. Testers, users, and developers are all welcome to try it out! :-)
The development of the QwikMail SMTP server (qwik-smtpd) is finally getting up to speed, with a 0.1-final release coming by the end of this month. The mail server will be beta-quality code, and only implements the minimum (and necessary) requirements of an SMTP server. Minimal ESMTP compliance is coming in the 0.2 version. By this summer, the 1.0 major series will hopefully be out.
The new and improved QwikMail SMTP server has been released for testing. All of the required basic functionality of an SMTP server is now implemented.
