Question on naming convention

I have just discovered your project, and am in the middle of studying your work. I see great potential here, especially given the current momentum in Rich Internet Applications as we march into 2005, however, there is one small thing that I feel obliged to ask you:

Are your misspellings of "dependancy" and "dependancies" on purpose?

If not, then you have 2 issues to face:

(1) Misspellings of common words used as variable names are guaranteed to bring you down a couple of points on the professionalism scale (unless there is a very good reason for it, which is clearly documented).

(2) You run the risk of aggravation by developers wishing to contribute (since this is an open source project), but have to learn to misspell "dependency" in order to be in alignment with you folks (read: aggravation == probably sparse contribution from the open source developer community).

If the misspellings are not on purpose, you may want to consider a quick sed operation before your project starts taking on a life of its own with contributions from other developers. It would be shame for your impressive work to die on the vine for such a trivial thing as this, but then, I have seen it happen before, hence this post.

Thanks for the feedback Jim.

It is unfotunately a spelling error that no-one else had picked up. As you mentioned I'll do a quick sed and rectify the situation.
