thanks for reporting - it is now fixed in svn. If you can download the source
and recompile, it will work (for any case I attach corrected widgetlayout.cpp)
The thing was that I did some months ago some changes that one can create
widgets from a script without opening the dialog box like
and jus in the sliders function some lines controlling wheteher a dialog
should be opened or were left out.

PS I promised Andrés Cabrera to write a proper wiki about using the widget-
operation python scripting possibilities. It is still in my TODO list and will
be done about in a month, after I will have finished some other things.
