The ospd3.txt should be culled of 'words' that violate the
rules of the game that won't be named.

Abbreviations like 'aa' and 'ba' and 'er' wouldn't stand in a
traditional game.

[Before the game begins players should agree on a
dictionary to use in case of a challenge.] All words labeled
as parts of speech including those listed of foreign origin,
archaic, obsolete, colloquial, slang, etc are permitted with
the exception of the following words: proper nouns,
abbreviations, prefixes and suffixes standing alone, words
requiring a hypen or apostrophe.

    agreed -- the thing kicked my butt yesterday getting away with
    words like "jambe". I can't find an english meaning for it in any of
    my dictionaries, nor at www.m-w.com, nor even a brief general
    google search.

    As a follow up to this - I have started comparing the wordlist against a
    websters ninth new collegiate dictionary, adding words like 'visitation'
    and removing words like 'aarrgh'.

    Also - I'll massage the code and submit a patch so that the computer can
    use a weaker word list than an 80,000 wordlist. This way there can be a
    'real' selection of ai 'skill'.

    Ignore this person, 'aa' 'ba' and 'er' are not
    abbreviations. There isn't an official english Scrabble
    dictionary currently in print which doesn't contain these
    words. Just because people don't know what a word means,
    they think it's not a real word. These people make me sick.

    ...and before anyone asks, the meanings of all those words are -
    aa = type of lava
    er = an interjecion
    ba = the soul

    None are abbreviations.

    Which dictionary contains that definition for 'ba'? My OAD doesn't. Just curious.
    Both 'er' and 'aa' exist in my OAD as words that would be legal in the original
    game that shall not be named.
