RPM packages for Fedora (40) and openSUSE (Tumbleweed)
Tarball for manual installation of the binary.
Tarball with source code.

Features

  • Support for online audio streams (web radio).
  • Support for 'external' files (i.e not in MPD's database).

  • I used a prior version ALL THE TIME and was thrilled to see an update. However, it's refusing to connect to a remote instance of MPD (and I don't see a place to put this elsewhere). I can't figure out where else to debug this -- bind_address is to the IP address of the server, password, is correct. It looks like it's successfully connecting and then throwing an error in the code? Same error with deb package and with tarball. Error on "starting status_check", connection is NULL Reconnecting... Steven, From what you write it looks like Quimup is connecting alright, and then the connection is terminated by MPD. Normally that means you do not have the required permissions (which are set in mpd.conf), but 'connection is NULL' suggest MPD really cut you off. I have no idea why that is. Quimup does not start the 'status check' loop (which returns the error) before probing MPD, to make sure the connection works. If you contact me (email in about tab of the settings window) I can send you the current development version. regards, JS
  • I'm using QUIMUP 1.4.0 as a client for the MDP deamon. MPD server is running on a Raspberry PI to provide internet radio to my HiFi component. The client is running on a Suse Linux 13.2 system. The program works well, except the connection between host and client goes down with the following messages in a terminal shell: Non fatal error : on "Starting status_check": Die Verbindung wurde vom Kommunikationspartner zurückgesetzt MPD: System error Non fatal error : on "mpd_send_status": Die Verbindung wurde vom Kommunikationspartner zurückgesetzt MPD: System error N The MPD on Raspi is the version 0.16. Are there any ideas what's going wrong there? I didn't recognize these problems when playing MP3 from my harddisk.
