I have uploaded quicktype for Palm OS5. Since I cannot test this myself (I don't have Palm OS5), I would like to hear from you, if you test it and can report either success or failure.
But: this is UNTESTED ALPHA software.
Don't install it, if you can't afford to loose your data or if you depend on your Palm for everyday use.

Last time I looked, the emulator was for Windows only. I tried running it with wine, but with no success. Maybe I'll test it again with a newer wine version some time.

This means, I got the test for the requirements wrong. I'll look into this and make a new quicktype available.
It seems that the clie returns a rom version of 0x500000,
so sysRomStageRelease seems not to be set by sony.
(by the way, sony has a clie emulator downloadable from its
developer website)

It's like the quicktype hack version. Just go to memo or some text field and push some keys. If the chars appear in the text field, it works.
The checkbox is similar to the checkbox in hackmaster.
When you activate it, quicktype registers itself with the notify manager and when you uncheck the checkbox, quicktype unregisters itself.
I uploaded a new version of quicktype (2.1.0-a2). This version has two new labels: one for the notify manager and one for the ROM version.
Can you please tell me the numbers after these labels.
