The measurements are in pixels. As you can see from the default setting, this would be 12 and 11 cm otherwise. This would be quite a large keyboard ;-)

hmm.. this might explain some of my typos.. so each box is 12 pixels width and 11 depth? I'm assuming pixels are the same irregardless of the program used (i'm using Paint)..
Or does anyone have a pre-made overlay for a palm m515? when i downloaded qtype 2.0, it only had the old overlays...

Here I'm talking about screen pixels, which are the same everywhere. But if you mean overlays, that's a different matter. Palm m10x are different from Palm 50x are different from Palm III are different from you name it ...
What do you mean with _old_ overlays? Did you look into directory "overlays"? There are several PDF files. Maybe one of them fits for your Palm.
If not, send me the physical dimensions and I will try to produce a new PDF overlay.

hmm.. well, i checked the directory and didn't see one.. I guess what I meant by the "old" overlays was the ones prior to quicktype using the entire silkscreen area... and I re-looked at the files released with quicktype 2.0 and there is a "grafitti-wide palm m50 overlay" but again, it only covers the "boxed" area of the silkscreen... is there a different one I should look at?
otherwise, the dimensions, of the entire silkscreen (the whole lower-grey part) is 57mm wide by 20mm high.. the lower border is excluding the lower curved area (that would measure 22mm)...
thanks

Please advise what are the measurements applied to the key width/height? Is it in cm or pixels?
Thanks

I uploaded an overlay sheet for the m515 (57 x 20 mm) to the download area (2.1.0 beta) as PDF and Postscript file.
Try www.silkyboard.com. They have all overlays for PalmOS devices.
