I'm not a big fan of some of the markup in Quickie.
eg. Why choose __ for bold ?? Wouldn't it make better sense for underline ???
** could be good for bold, but it is also very good for bullet points :)
Would something like // be more natural for italics ???
I notice that headings use an ! symbol, and that multiple symbols are used for different levels. I really dislike that. I would prefer an level argument. eg. !3 or !(3) then all I have to do is change the number :) What if you had to go from level 7 to level 9. A lot easier to know that a markup is at level 7 to start with as you can readit, without having to count the symbols :)
Another good feature would be relative levels. eg. !+ or !-, so that if you modify a parent level, the sublevel sections automatically get promoted or demoted :)
