Hello, I would like to contribute to the following tasks: 1) Refine the Tools->Configuration dialog 2) Using xml to store and retrieve the configuration If anyone else is also interested in these tasks, we can work together! Regards, Naman --- Aegir Sun <Aeg...@Su...> wrote: --------------------------------- Hi, everybody: Now I have basically finished the web site athttp://quickget.sourceforge.net. In the website, I list the goal ofthis project and some useful information for your reference. Yesterday,I added another page for the website ("Basic Ideas"). In "Basic Ideas"page, I list some pesudocode for our current implementation and somedifficulties we face for the http implementation. I believe it willhelp you to begin the development. It is really a difficult issue for me to think out a method tocordinate the development process. We are far away from each other andwe are doing this project just for our interests... In order to makethe project in control, I list some tasks which we are expected toimplement in the first development phase. The tasks contains guidesign, model development and test framework. And I also prioritizethem by giving them a relative priority. Maybe everybody of you could check the tasks athttp://sourceforge.net/pm/?group_id=139656. And you can check everyitem and pick up your favoriate job into your plate. I believe someimportant features are lost for my lack of consideration. So if youthink the feature is important and should be implement in the firstphase, you can add the feature to the list. In order to make theproject starts smoothly, I will discuss with you for your task whichseem to be suitable for you according to your background. And I needyou help to make the project successful. I think the first step for youis to check out the source code from the project's cvs and compile/runit. (I have fixed some bugs for http downloading last Friday. It seemsmuch better than before) I think somebody can give me a hand by becoming the project admins. When you are project admin, you can learn more and get the most fromthe project. So if you are interested to be the project admin, pleaseemail me and tell me the reasons why you want to be the project admin. As always, thanks for your interests in the project. If you have anyideas for the project, please write to the email alias.
