Hi Team, Nice to see the diversity and the enthusiasm in the team. Good for the = project. I agree with rohan that we should have a two guys for a = particular component (to be on a safer side), but again I am not too = sure if the voting idea is good. I understand a situation can come = wherein a person would like to work on a component which is actually = assigned to the other person. I think in that case we (the developers = concerned) can mutually and amicably find a solution for that problem. = And in case we cant resolve the problem then perhaps we would need to = work on one aspect ...the team spirit ;). Why I say this is because from = the mails we have received so far its quite evident that there are a few = people who are not too much experienced with java and are joining the = project to learn the same. And I think we should indeed give them a = chance for this. After all, normally people join such open source = projects for the sake of enthusiasm (of contributing to open source = community) and to enhance one's knowledge of the language and the = platform. Nevertheless, I personally like the idea of blogs. Bye the way I had a couple of suggestions which I had put forward to = aegir and one of them was to use messenger tools to keep in touch with = each other, specially the two developers working together. And yes...before I end this lecture of mine, a bit about myself.. apart = from what is visible from my signature. I have a few yrs experience in = java/j2ee/webservices on windows and UNIX platform. I have just joined = this company and this is my fifth company. I had earlier worked with = companies like CARITOR, HEXAWARE and most recently IBM. And yes, how about throwing some suggestions as to how we should start = discussing about the ideas/ features of our product and the crude design = of the same.
