Hi, I think it would be possible but unfortunately cannot commit on any timeline at the moment. :-/ Would you be so kind to open an issue at https://github.com/quickfix-j/quickfixj/issues/new/choose so that it does not get lost? Thanks, Chris. Hello everyone, I see the version of mina used by QFJ hasn't changed for some time. There are a couple of CVEs recorded against it, https://www.cvedetails.com/cve/CVE-2019-0231/ and https://www.cvedetails.com/cve/CVE-2021-41973/ . The 2021 one says to dodge the issue by moving to version 2.1.5 or greater. Can we have a release of QFJ where this is done please? Without this change projects that use QFJ will be flagged as vulnerable to those CVes via transitive dependencies. Hopefully it will simply be a case of updating the pom and running the regression tests. -- Regards, Andrew Marlow http://www.andrewpetermarlow.co.uk |

I'm in the process of getting configured on the IB side, so I'm still working out how things work. It's looking like for now that I'm going to have to log into the Gateway with a username linked to my accounts but not to my wife's. Her user name is associated with her accounts. Are you saying that IB will allow for a gateway logged in under my username to send orders for my wife's accounts if I specify a different compID? Am I understanding this correctly? Yes, this is possible. You will need two sender comp ids from IB. Yes, you specify which initiator to use by session ID. > On Jan 30, 2022, at 6:16 AM, Walt J <wa...@gm...> wrote: > > QFJ Documentation: http://www.quickfixj.org/documentation/ > QFJ Support: http://www.quickfixj.org/support/ > > > Hi, is it possible for one app to use quickfixj to connect to two IB gateways at the same time? > > I was thinking about having two initiators running in the app, each configured to a different IB Gateway on a different port using different credentials. > > I thought this should work, until I considered the Session command for sending orders. Of course it is possible to use several connectors per process with unique session IDs. Why doesn't it make sense to address per session id? Chris Am 30. Hi, is it possible for one app to use quickfixj to connect to two IB gateways at the same time? I was thinking about having two initiators running in the app, each configured to a different IB Gateway on a different port using different credentials. I thought this should work, until I considered the Session command for sending orders. There's no way to specify which initiator to use, unless it figures it out based on sessionID. But that didn't make sense to me. Does QF support this type of thing? |

How about file permissions on the store files? Are they accessible by the user that's running the app? Did you try to put it somewhere into your home directory? Maybe some security setting is preventing it from loading from a globally accessible directory? Did you try to turn SSL debug logging on? Maybe there is more information. Cheers, Chris. Is it possible to specify a path outside from the classpath ? Like /tmp/my_keystore.jks for a unix environment example. I run my Spring module based on QuickFixJ on an OpenJdk Docker image, and I want to add keystore and truststore after having built the Docker image (I get the stores and copy them in /tmp folder by using the entrypoint.sh script). For now, QuickfixJ seems to not find my stores. Before, I had my store in the resource folder of my Spring project, and QuickFixJ had no problem to find them. Do you mean the log time stamps at the beginning of each line or time stamps on the messages itself? If the former then I think that this is controlled by your system's locale settings. Hmm, looks unexpected that this does not work. Could you create an issue in our tracker: https://github.com/quickfix-j/quickfixj/issues/new/choose Unfortunately I cannot tell when this can be analyzed in detail. A failing unit test that showcases the behaviour would be beneficial. Thanks, Chris. Hello Christoph, Thank you for your answer, it confirm that I should be able to use absolute path to access the store with QuickFixJ. The files are presents in the directory, maybe there is a problem with the stores. I will continue to investigate on this way. Cheers, Sebastien. Hmm, did you try another location outside of /tmp? Maybe it gets deleted somehow? We usually use an absolute file path for our keystores and that works. Cheers, Chris. Hi, I have a question about QuickFixJ keystore/truststore path configuration. After some more digging, I've determined my onMessage code for the ExecutionReport was attempting to extract a field not present and that was causing the problem. Because I was using "throws", the handling gets passed up to quickfix which attempts to resolve the problem with IB by notifying them more information was expected. Can someone explain why the third message is type "j"? Isn't that type "allocation"? I'm attempting to get quickfixj to play nice with Interactive Brokers. I'm new to quickfix. I've been able to get my app to place orders and move the price (cancel/replace) on the IB QA fix server. However, it doesn't route fill messages to my onMessage(ExecutionReport message, SessionID sessionID) method. It works fine when I get messages related to status being "new", "cancel", or "replaced". Obviously, I'm misunderstanding something with the way the cracker works. Here is an example to illustrate the problem I'm having with understanding what's going on. The first message below is an order to buy IBM that I sent to IB. The second message is the fill message sent by IB to me, and the third message is quickfix's message back to IB. My onMessage code wasn't called. I was hoping someone could help me understand what's going on here. Below are sample configurations I tried today - Acceptor config: startTime=22:01:00 endTime=22:00:00 startDay=Tue endDay=Tue Initiator config: startTime=22:01:00 endTime=22:00:00 startDay=Tue endDay=Tue I have even tried to make initiator statTime 1 min later than startTime of acceptor.
