Hi, I don't know which QFJ version you use. But there was an improvement (pull requests [1] and [2]) made in 1.6.4 which should allow to process such unknown fields if you set AllowUnknownMsgFields=Y (tags < 5000) and/or ValidateUserDefinedFields=N (tags > 5000). The unknown field will then be added to the repeating group instance if it is not a known trailer or message field. Of course this could cause problems (as Eric already mentioned) when the unknown field is actually to be considered a message field and the repeating group already ended.
