[Quickfix-users] Compilation Annoyances in C++

There seem to be an annoyance when using quickfix in conjunction with other free software packages.  e.g ACE

In the config of quickfix there macro definitions of PACKAGE_TARNAME, PACKAGE_VERSION, etc.  Other packages that use autoconf define the same thing and when included at the same time as quickfix cause a lot of warnings for redefinition of the same.

Has anyone solved this problem?  Or is there a plan to solve this problem?

You are right that the root of the problem is that programs that use 
autoconf are not supposed to install config.h.  I ran into this before 
when using ACE (which incorrectly installs config.h) and quickfix (which 
was also doing it at the time).  If I recall correctly, Oren fixed this 
behavior on quickfix's end.  Maybe this behavior was accidentally 
reintroduced?
