QuickFIX comes with a set of acceptance and performance tests so you can
rest assured that the performance and compatibility is up to par when you
run them. QuickFIX is definitely compatible with .NET, many people use it
for that purpose regularly.
Whether you choose to use QuickFIX or not is up to you as you know your
application better than anyone, and whether or not it will allow you to
finish before your deadline.
