[Quickfix-developers] Where is doc about sessions and sequence number?

Hi,

In which section of the doc can I find the full Session and Sequence number 
mecanism explanation?

I still have use cases regarding that section and I would like to clearly 
understand the whole process.

There is some things like, why quickfix keep incrementing sequence number by 
one when the gap between client and server is like 10000 for instance.  Why 
it does not synchronise instead of incrementing?  Which seqnum number is for 
incoming and outgoing?  And some other not clear scenarios.

If you could point me to some doc, it would be great.

All these are documented in the FIX protocol spec.  You can get it from 
www.fixprotocol.org
