Yes, a FIX-to-FIX is what I'm looking at.  I'm sure that it shouldn't be
too difficult.  It just surprised me some that it apparently hasn't been
discussed here.

It has been, the terminology just isn't standardized. Usually the 
question comes in the form of running an initiator and acceptor in the 
same process. Like this for instance:
