The version in the repository can be built under FreeBSD 5.0 if you do the following: install the latest autoconf and autotools from the ports collection. *uninstall* libtool from the ports collection. Get libtool 1.4 source distribution from ftp.gnu.org, build and install it. Run the bootstrap script. Now follow the directions as normal (./configure && make) and you should get a good build with unit tests and acceptance tests passing. There does seem to be a problem with the threaded acceptance tests (runat_threaded), so stick to using the regular SocketInitiator and SocketAcceptor for now.
