I'm going to be on vacation from September 8th through the 24th. I'll be bicycling from Budapest to Vienna so my access to computers will be sporadic at best, and my Blackberry doesn't work in Europe. I'll be checking the lists and this email address whenever I happen upon an internet cafe. There is a point release in the works when I return. The more experienced users and contrinutors should be able to help out with any questions in my absence. --oren --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Hello Parag, Indeed, the TargetCompID you specify in the configuration file and the one that appears in the header are the same: it's the ID of the guy with whom you establish your session. If you have to send the message to a 'mediator', then you'll probably want to put the ID of the final receiver in the DeliverToCompID tag. I suggest you read the FIX documentation on www.fixprotocol.org where they explain all this very thouroughly. Hi, I have question about the fix disconnection. I am using "Acceptor" mode and listen to Port 60011. if my fix engine have serveral clients connected. When I disconnect one of the clients (A). I have already used session->disconnect to disconnect the session. However, the fix client (A)is still trying to connect. I will get an automically logon request message again. I do really want to stop the connection with Client (A) only. How can i do that ? looking forwards from yours. Thanks Regards Terence __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Subject: [Quickfix-users] Quikfix 1.6.0 QuickFIX 1.6.0 is now available here: http://quickfix.thoughtworks.com/download.html <http://quickfix.thoughtworks.com/download.html> release notes are here: http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=37535 <http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=37535&release_id=1805 87> &release_id=180587 One thing to note for C++ users that want to upgrade, each message is now in its own file. So instead of including quickfix/Messages.h, you must now include the individual messages you are using. i.e., quickfix/fix42/NewOrderSingle.h. This needed to be done to resolve the heap errors in visual studio which couldn't handle the large include. Otherwise this guy has FIX 4.4 for C++ and java, .NET support for 4.4 will be coming out a little later (more heap issues with visual studio, so the .NET message will also need to be separated out). But .NET users, you now have the isSetField method you have all been clamoring for! QuickFIX 1.6.0 is now available here: http://quickfix.thoughtworks.com/download.html =20 release notes are here: http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=3D37535&release_id=3D= 1 80587 =20 One thing to note for C++ users that want to upgrade, each message is now in its own file. So instead of including quickfix/Messages.h, you must now include the individual messages you are using. i.e., quickfix/fix42/NewOrderSingle.h. This needed to be done to resolve the heap errors in visual studio which couldn't handle the large include. =20 Otherwise this guy has FIX 4.4 for C++ and java, .NET support for 4.4 will be coming out a little later (more heap issues with visual studio, so the .NET message will also need to be separated out). But .NET users, you now have the isSetField method you have all been clamoring for! See the release notes for a complete list of changes. |

All, I am attempting to get my client and server QuickFix apps to communicate, but the behavior that I am seeing is that my client app receives a toAdmin() callback followed immediately by the onLogout() callback. I am running the client and server apps on the same box. Thinking that it might be an IP/PORT configuration issue with my box, I placed my client and server on separate boxes; however, I still received the same behavior (toAdmin() callback followed immediately by onLogout() callback). I am sure it is a simple issue (e.g. configuration) that I am overlooking. Does anyone have any insight? PS. I was able to run the example apps (ordermatch and tradeclient) successfully on my box (they communicated successfully). Matt P. Yes! Check the release notes. Initiator::start and Acceptor::start are = no longer blocking calls. It used to be the start would block on onRun, this is no longer the = case. Now, start returns immediately giving you full control of the = main thread, and stop must be called to shut eveything down. The easiest way to upgrade from 1.4 to 1.5 is to call the code like so. acceptor.start(); acceptor.onRun(); acceptor.stop(); Then the rest of you application won't know the difference. -------------------------- Sent from my BlackBerry Wireless Handheld -----Original Message----- From: C.
