You are right. Unfortunately the problem is that when using the Java =
version
of QF, numerous times the JVM simply crashes with no clue as to what
happened! Debugging Java and C++ together is a challange that I don't =
feel
like taking on (though as we speak I am looking at some tool called
JNI-Bridge). So I am trying to eliminate as many abnormal (or normal =
but
that lead to session disconnect) conditions as I can to get to the root =
of
the problem. If people in this community have had similar experience, =
i.e.
using Java version of QF, I'd love to share in it.=20

Concordantly to the FIX protocol, QF allows you to receive a message =
with a
sequence number too high (it will issue a resend request for the =
missing
messages). On the contrary, a message with a sequence number too low =
will
end your session, and I don't think that you should try to make your =
engine
accept that kind of messages.

Is there anyway to force a sequence number in QF. Say I get sequence =

34 when I connect and logon to a counterparty. Is there a switch or a
setting that tells QF "yes, the sequence number is incorrect but accept =

and move on" as opposed to disconnecting the session.
