[Quickfix-developers] ethereal 0.9.7 now supports FIX

Ethereal is an open source network sniffer.  The newest version allows you
to sniff out and decode FIX messages being transmitted over your network.
Since this works at the network protocol level, it will work with any
combination of FIX engine vendors.  This is just a really useful tool that
I figured would be interesting to the members of this list.  We tried it
out over here by connecting the banzai and executor sample applications and
sending some order traffic.  Ethereal was able to tell us the names of the
message types that were transmitted, as well as all the field names and
their values.
