[Quickfix-users] How to be logout initiator?

I can't see how one can initiate a logout sequence.  To try to fix this I
put a method in the Session that calls the generateLogout() method.  This
seems to work part of the time, but it seems there is an internal race
condition in which the engine thinks it is a logout acceptor even though it
initiated to logout sequence.  Anyway does anyone know how to act as the
logout initiator?
