[Quickfix-developers] ValidateUserDefinedFields question

Hi,

I have used QF for a few years an it works splendidly. I am now trying to connect to a another provider and I have these lines in the [DEFAULT] section of the config file: 

UseDataDictionary=Y
DataDictionary=FIX44.xml
ValidateUserDefinedFields=N

But I still get Rejects with "Invalid tag number" for all user-defined tags that are not in the DataDictionary.  Shouldn't they be ignored by QF?
