i am new to quickfix, but what i understand is to use crach method and get
the particular information 

 crack( message, sessionID ); 

FIX::Symbol symbol;
  FIX::Side side;
  FIX::OrdType ordType;
  FIX::OrderQty orderQty;
  FIX::Price price;
  FIX::ClOrdID clOrdID;
  FIX::Account account;


message.get( symbol );
  message.get( side );
  message.get( orderQty );
  message.get( price );
  message.get( clOrdID );


you can see the above code is the example executor application code 

the crack method is defined in fromApp method and the other code is defined
in onMessage method
