[Quickfix-developers] QuickFix Virgin

Hi,
 
I am new to quickfix and I am not sure how to proceed.  I have done the following;
 
runut debug 1234
 
which produces lots of dots and then says something about total 162 failures 0.  This looks like a good thing.  However, when I try and run the following;
 
c:\quickfix-1.12.4\quickfix\bin\debug\executor_cpp\executor_cpp.exe
 
It says it requires a file.  Is there an example of a file that I should pass to it?
 
What I'm really trying to do is get live spot market rates into a system that is written in Visual Basic 6.  My plan is to get a C++ program going that does exactly this and then somehow turn the C++ program into a DLL that I can call from VB.
 
Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
