[Quickfix-developers] help Needed

Hello,
can you tell me how r u using quickfix? i have downloaded it and have IP,senderCompID,SenderSubID,port,TargetCompID,Username and Password.
I have build quickfix by enabling mysql support and it was sucessful.
1. Can u tell me where to use all the above details?
2. Can u tell me how to run example sucessfully?
