this kind of begs the question - how is this project structured?  i can see the sourceforge
subversion list of committers but that doesn't tell me what people are working on, what
is likely to be delivered (e.g. bug fixes, new features), when things will be delivered,
etc.

could someone (oren?) give an overview of:

1) the committers and what they're working on (maintenance, enhancements)?
2) the schedule for both major (new features) and minor (bug fixes) releases?
