I might have worded the previous question poorly.  Yesterday I ran into
an issue where I lost network connectivity to an exchange and my
QuickFIX application was sitting there trying to connect every 60
seconds and failing on each attempt.  When this connection attempt
fails, is there any way that I can catch it, so that I can raise an
exception?

I'm currently having an issue connecting with my initiator app(C#).  Is
there anyplace where I can catch the connection failing, so that I can
raise the appropriate exception?
