Do you mean that you have an application and you want to see how fast it is
processing messages, or what the theoretical maximum throughput of any
QuickFIX application might be?  The latter depends very much on your
hardware and your choice of storage mechanism, but I've benchmarked mimimal
applications at many thousands (6000-8000) of messages per second on
commodity hardware.
