Quick-Save-Live is based on Tiny Core Linux ( http://tinycorelinux.net ) well known for its small size and fast booting capabilities.
I downloaded the TinyCore iso file from their website, started it in VirtualBox, added necessary applications and also
necessary hardware drivers, with OnBoot option, using the App Browser located at the bottom, and also downloaded and loaded
ezremaster, to remaster the iso file, to create this appliance. Users can start quick-save-live on virtualbox and check the
/opt, /home/tc ( view hidden files here ), /etc and /etc/init.d folders for changed files, to know more about this appliance.
Check google for tiny core ezremaster to know more about remastering for best performance. I chose the “Extract TCZ to in to initrd” method while remastering and loaded the onboot.lst file, also included as a wiki page here [onboot.lst]. This is my source file for the remaster and is a combination of the CD's onboot.lst plus my choice of onboot.lst entries. Also, running ezremaster from the terminal can help us catch any errors and solve them accordingly. A forum article written based on my experiences is here : "http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,21984.0.html"
The list of hardware drivers required for building this appliance were obtained from the archlinux wiki, after a google search, here : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/file_systems and also from a search on the tiny core linux forum.
