Here is a step by step procedure for converting your queXML document (or
the example available here:
http://quexml.sourceforge.net/Examples/example.xml) to a PDF form.
1. Install renderX (converts XSL:FO to PDF)
1a. Go to: http://www.renderx.com/download/index.html
1b. Fill in your details and select the box "XEP for Windows Trial"
1c. Click "Get"
1d. Check your email in a few minutes: follow the instructions in the
email to get the trial version of renderX
1e. Select XEPwin2.1 for download (approx 20Mb)
1f. Extract the zip file and run setup.exe to install renderX
2. Convert your queXML document to XSL:FO
2a. Save your queXML document to your disk, or download the example
queXML file (http://quexml.sourceforge.net/Examples/example.xml) and
save it to your disk
2b. Browse to the DCARF queXML tools page:
2c. Choose: Generate an XSL:FO file from queXML:
2d. Click browse and select the queXML file created or downloaded above
2e. Click "Upload file"
2f. Save the resulting XML file to your disk
3. Convert the XSL:FO document to PDF
3a. Run XEPAssistant (Installed by RenderX)
3b. Click File -> Open
3c. Select the file you downloaded from the queXML tools page
3d. Click Formatting -> Start
3e. Leave the Stylesheet box blank
3f. Select output format of PDF
3g. Select the PDF file to create
3h. Click OK
You will now have a PDF file generated from your queXML document.
