Yes it is.
You should find that the CVS version from SF is in better shape as far as
compilation goes.
However, there are some known issues with it:
All of the tty stuff is ripped out with intent on rewriting it.
It's currently trivial to get into a dead-locked state, and so the protocol
needs some serious rework. If you don't expect to have a flood of jobs
submitted in a very short time (things like 10 jobs within 1 second, for
instance), you're probably ok.
So, if you don't need tty support, and you will slowly be submitting long
running jobs, CVS version might just work for you.
I've recently switched jobs and getting up to speed there has severely cut
into my spare time, but that is starting to settle down now. Working on
Queue has actually managed to bubble up again on my list.
