I got the 1.0 series working on Tru64; the only hitch was that the flag 
BORKEN_TERMIOS_VMIN needed to be set at compile time but somehow just 
supplying it to the configure script didn't do the trick, I had to 
manually uncomment it in the code.

I remember having trouble getting 1.2 to compile but I didn't spend too 
much time on it.
