I'm having the same problem with Solaris 5.5.1 (and presumably 5.7). Something appears to go wrong soon after queued forks off the child job and calls the handle() routine. At this point, I'm not even sure that handle() gets called. The only additional info I have so far is that the child is terminated with signal 31 (SIGXFSZ) and a core dump. I'll report back to the mailing list when I know more.
