I have problem with connection to DB with querycommander

I installed .net framework 1.1 (+ service pack 1) and
then querycommander 4.0.1.0

When I set the database connection (ms sql 2000,default
database, user name,password) it comes the error
message: "SQL Server Database not exist or access
denied" and in detail:
at QueryCommander.FrmDBObjects.RefreashTreeView()
at QueryCommander.MainForm.PopulateDBConnections()

I know, that the server exist and I can connect to the
db (query analyzer from microsoft, my applications,...)
