Hi all, I created a new snapshot release for qucs. (ubuntu through the PPA, windows installer and source.tar.gz) The new windows installer has some changes besides the changes in the source code: -The environment variable (QUCSDIR, ASCODIR and PATH) are now set for all users, this way an administrator can install while the user can run without setting the variables manually -The optimizer asco.exe is now included in the install -freehdl, mingw32 and iverilog are now included in the installer. Please test the binary snapshots here: Windows: http://sourceforge.net/projects/qucs/files/qucs-binary/0.0.17-Qt4-snapshot/qucs-0.0.17.130503.exe/download Ubuntu: ppa:fransschreuder1/qucs Regards, Frans |

First off, I just wanted to say thanks for all the work that's gone into this. I added ppa on Xubuntu Precise and ran apt-get upgrade, but when I went to drop symbols onto the schematic, I got a denial cursor (circle with line through it) and the components didn't place. Any clues? I was able to open up an existing schematic and run a DC bias calculation. Hi, it seems that there is some issue with the drag and drop functionality. However, selecting a component; i.e. clicking on it in the components tab (and releasing the mouse afterwards) allows you to "pick up" the component and place it onto the schematic (by another click). This explaination sounds a bit more complicated than it actually is ;-) But I will try to fix the drag and drop issue... Hi Elián, The ubuntu package indeed does not include freehdl and verilog, however the package has this software on "recommends". Unless you have selected "--no-install-recommends" it should be installing freehdl and verilog by default. Yesterday I also tried the digital simulations and I indeed get the same problem in Ubuntu with freehdl. I am investigating the problem. There Thanks for the tip to remove -Wl. This seems to work for linux. I have uploaded a new version to the PPA, but it still needs to build.
