I would like to be able to use subcircuits where the component values are defined by equations which are dependent on the parameters. I this way subcircuits could be represented by there parameters and not just simply by the component values.

Take the attenuator for example. As it is right now I have to open the attenuator creation dialogue and then paste a hard copy of the subcircuit. If I want to change the attenuation I have to remove the original subcircuit, and associated labels, and then create the new one and then paste it in.

It would be much better if I could just change the attenuation as a parameter of a subcircuit.

Ultimately you could provide a mechanism to describe a dialogue box with parameter editing controls and parameter validation heuristics; simular to the synthesis dialogues in the tools menu. Then you could simply evoke this dialogue to edit a parameter. This could also update all of the labels for the subcircuit representation. Like in the attenuator example the title label for the subcircuit could be recomputed to reflect some status of the subcircuit.

    Hello!

Exactly this is planned for the next releases. The GUI already supports this parameter passing. I am about to implement those things in the simulation backend, but have very limited time right now. Anyway, we will have this once.

    Cheers, Stefan.

    Hello!

In the GUI subcircuit parameters as well as equations in subcircuits which can be used in component properties were already available for some time now. The implementations necessary in the simulator are now also done. All can be found in CVS and will be available in the next release.

    Cheers, Stefan.
