At the moment it is possible to import Qucs data into Octave, following the execution of a simulation. I wonder if it would also be possible to run an Octave script at the initialisation of a simulation, preferably even using parameters passed on through the Qucs GUI. As an example, I currently have an S-parameter analysis using an S2P-file, which is (offline) generated by Octave. It would be convenient to pass on parameters to Octave, run a script at initialisation (e.g. generating file components) and run the simulation, based on these components.

This could also have an advantage from a development point of view, because complex models can be elaborated in Octave instead of being coded in Qucs itself. Moreover, this can be done by people with limited knowledge of lower programming languages (like myself).
