Thanks for this suggestion. It may be a feature that many users would like. But other users might complain about the increased resources required to compute and store data they didn't ask for.
Maybe if node labels had voltage and current checkbox properties in addition to their name property, with the voltage checked and the current unchecked by default, the current behavior could be preserved, and the user could have the option of storing either current, voltage or both in the dataset. I agree that it would be nice not to have to add voltage and current probes to a circuit since they can distract from the essential schematic.

I suggest to also show foo.I, the current thru the wire.
