At first I had Quc 0.0.18 installed and a simple digital simulation would not work. freehdl_v2cc wasn't in the setup. I noticed that there was a new version, 0.0.19, so I downloaded it: a zip file. The zip file did not come with a setup.exe file. After extracting the zip file, I got a full set of directories, identical to the originally installed directories. Again, no setup file. So I copied and pasted the set of directories and files into the original program files/Qucs directory and started the Qucs executable through a desktop shortcut. That worked. So did some of my previous examples. Trying to do a digital simulation, the first part was now OK, the netlist was created using the freehdl_v2cc. I couldn't do that before. "gcc: digi.exe could not be found" was the error message that I got after this simulation try. So this version only half works!! I downloaded this tool thinking that it would come with a setup file, but no. So now I am stuck with a tool that half works and no setup tool to set it up correctly! Maybe the developers should post a zip file that contains a real setup utility like almost all other tools do. Call it version 0.0.20_works.
