When connected to a DB2 UDB for iSeries database (v5r4) and a table for query view is opened, if there are rows where a date column has the value of "1000-01-01" the query display fails. The message "SQL0181 Value in date, time or timestamp string not valid" is displayed. This is a valid date for DB2. Because of the error, you cannot open the table for view.

Uhm, cannot duplicate, with DB2 in Linux. I try creating a new table with a single DATE column, inserting a date with value '1000-01-01'. It works for me. Tell me please if the same procedure fails for you, or something different has to be done to make it fail.

Sorry. Someone from the discussion list suggested adding "date format=iso" as a connection option. That resolved the problem. I thought I had posted an update. Thanks for looking into it.
