Yes, that's because the passed schedule doesn't hold any information on
the reference dates.  We should probably add them to its data.  

Ferdinando, you've been reworking the Schedule class lately---do you
think this is possible?

Are you sure?  I just double checked and it looks OK:

- I download
    http://quantlib.org/prerelease/QuantLibXL-src-0.3.14.exe
  (2,904,744 bytes)
- I install the contents to c:\test\QuantLibXL
- and I see the file at
    C:\test\QuantLibXL\qlxl\QuantLibXL_vc8.vcproj

How does that work for you?

i added QuantLibXL_vc8.sln to QuantLibXL-src-0.3.14.exe and uploaded
the file again, i'd be grateful if you could re-run your test.

r.e. #1) below..   Xcode creates a structure like so:

$ find QuantLibMac -print

QuantLibMac/QuantLibMac.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj	# primary project file

xcode preferences

So really all we would need to add would be the QuantLibMac.xcodeproj  
folder, containing the single project.pbxproj file.
After installation, you'd need to tweak the project (through the GUI)  
to configure the search paths for installed boost headers and libs  
and so forth.
If anyone is interested in testing the feasibility/portability of  
this, I'd be happy to mail the project.pbxproj to them.

r.e. #2) I hadn't gotten around to the Examples yet... I'll try that  
tomorrow and let you know what I find.
One caveat -- I did end up building/linking QuantLib as a static  
library, after having some runtime errors
when built/linked in as a dynamic library.    Will retry the dynamic  
library build when I get some time...

[Quantlib-dev] quantlib-benchmark

It looks like 'make install' doesn't cover quantlib-benchmark, which is a
pity.  I wouldn't mind building it for Debian package -- could this get
covered by make install, if it has been made by 'make benchmark' ?

People,

I have tried my batch build (VC2005 Express) and almost everything worked fine.

All projects but QuantLibXL compiled, but this misses QuantLibXL_vc8.sln,
that is fixed in my batch build. So I can´t generate a new xll version.

QuantLib Test Suite finished in 20 min whitout any test failure but it
presented a strange behavior for me. It did not show messages test by test.
Just "Running 273 test cases..." and final one messages.

Xcode does use project files called *.xcode
I haven't used it extensively either as ./configure and make have also
worked fine for me. Xcode does have a fairly nice editor and IDE.

While doing it, I encountered two bugs in the build-system:
1) In ql/Makefile.am you wrote an install-data-hook
which installs stuff and links the static library.
Unfortunately, you forgot the DESTDIR variable, which
can be passed to make for installation: "make
DESTDIR=/tmp/root install" and then the
install-data-hook fails setting the symlink.
2) Boost can be installed as multithreading-only in
which case the unit_test_framework library is named
like libboost_unit_test_framework-mt.so.

Calliability::Type has 0 for Put and 1 for Call

At the minimize the two should be made consistent, but I was wondering if it 
makes sense or not to merge these two into one enum.

Builds fine on Debian testing, without even requiring any changes other than
s/0.3.13/0.3.14/ in a few of the packaging files.  Took forever (72 minutes)
to build, though.  I guess I need a better computer.

Summary: trying to compile a sample with Xcode 2.4

Hi all,

I've been thourgh all the compilation of QuantLib 0.3.13 on Mac OS X 
10.4 ppc and now try to compile the EquityOption.cpp using XCode.

I don't know if I can use gcc 4.0, I tried, and unless I use ZeroLink in 
Debug mode I don't have the correct input (I check against the /usr/local/
bin/EquityOption that was build with QuantLib). All I have is zeros 
anywhere.

If I try to use gcc 3.3 things go worst and the exe hang since the 
beginning after having display "Option type = put".
