It probably doesn't even compile without Svgalib, we should have a test for this in configure.in.

One thing that annoys me the most as the maintainer is the number of places I have to update the version number when I make a release.

Now, for Linux, I can automate this with some sed magic, but what about Windows? Any ideas?
