It is just as odd as the title reads. I have 4 tabs open with different drives/foders. In one, I did a search for "tripod" in File Explorer's upper-right search field. I then hit the "x" in the search field to end the search and hit "back" to go to the previous folder. I moved onto the next task and minimized the window.
When I minimized it, it popped right back up from the taskbar and the current tab went into a search for "tripod". If I switch to a different tab and minimize, it will pop back up doing a search for the same in that tab. o_O...it's....haunted...

I've tested this behavior a little and there are steps to reproduce this bug.
1. Search "query" in some folder (it's enough to type any character);
2. Delete your query in search field by backspace or "x" button / close tab;
3. Press "Maximize" or "Minimize" windows control button / explorer button on taskbar;
After this your current tab will automatically search your "query" from step 1 in your current location.
