QtShowRunner Version 1.5 for Windows x64

New file added - Zip of files to run QtShowRunner V1.5 on Win x64 systems without installing Qt and without building from source. Just download the zip. Unpack it anywhere and launch the QtShowRunner.exe file. I have NO PLANS to build an INSTALLER for windows. The program is simple enough that an installer does not seem worth the trouble.

Just unpack the zip file to a folder wherever you like on your own area, not the system. And then use SHIFT/CTRL/drag to drag a shortcut to the desktop to launch the program conveniently. I'm sure you knew that.... read more

QtShowRunner New Release with Enhancements

There's a new release. The best way to get this is to get it from github at this link:
https://github.com/windyweather/QtShowRunner

This release has the following enhancements:

  • Works on both Windows 10 and Linux Mint 19.3 - and probably lots of other Linux Distros too.
  • Saves the Default path and Options for running Impress, so if your system requires a change to these, the changes are preserved the next time you run the program. They are saved on exit and reloaded automatically on running the program.
  • The defaults are OS specific and default to something for the typical LibreOffice install for that system.
  • Shows can be saved and opened. The show file type is .show and it is saved as a text file.
  • Shows are not OS agnostic however since they contain paths that do not translate between OSs.... read more

Windows / Linux Release on GitHub

Sources of a version that works on both Windows 10 and Linux Mint 19.3 is up on GitHub.
https://github.com/windyweather/QtShowRunner

I need to figure out how to remove the .pro.user files from the repo since those should not be checked in obviously.
It's working fine now.
The defaults in the "Show Path" are the ones I use for testing, but the paths to the program and options are correct for the typical install for LibreOffice for both the Windows and Linux cases.... read more

QtShowRunner - Source Release For Windows

I have not yet worked out how to "Distribute" an installer for QtShowRunner. Years ago I built installers for Qt Programs, but it's a real pain to do that.
I hope to build a simple way to "Deploy" QtShowRunner on Windows, but I need to do some research to accomplish that first.
Until then, you'll need to build it from source.

If you use Qt, then you know what to do. Otherwise.
Currently I suggest you go to:
