Finally got QtRptProject installed on a VM running Linux Mint 20.3. I also have it running on two other Linux only PCs. QtRptDesigner, running on the VM, requests an update and if not canceled starts to download an upgrade. Given the problems I had installing to the VM; I do not want to get further problems.
Should I go a head and update QtRptDesigenr V 3.0 as requested?

If your current version fits your, youd dont need to update. Please check the setting, as I remember, you can switch off updates checking
