    BTW, related note: if I copy & paste a clip, wouldn't it be nice if the automations are copied as well? I.e. maybe automations could be properties of clips rather than tracks.

    Its worth noting that, if all you need are simple fades you can do these under qtractor within audio clips without resorting to automation. These fades do get copied when you copy/paste clips, unlike (gain) automation curves at present.

    One of the most anticipated features of qtractor is more complete automation support, as you highlight here. Rui knows this all too well. Maybe after qtr gains the ability to copy/paste automation data it will be able to scale auto.data to fix probs like this?
