Hi Rui,
this is actually about the 0.5.7 release (running on Ubuntu 12.04) but I assume it's the same with current svn.
I'm running the Calf Fluidsynth LV2 plugin in Qtractor. If I put the plugin directly on a track everything works fine, and Qtractor remembers the Fluidsynth soundfont file name when I reopen the session.
However, when I try to place the plugin on a MIDI bus then it always forgets the soundfont file name when I reopen the session. I also get a bunch of error messages of the form:
fluidsynth: warning: No preset found on channel 2 [bank=0 prog=72]
So I have to open the plugin gui and set the soundfont file name anew every time I load the session in Qtractor. This works, but is of course a little inconvenient. ;-)
Please see the attached session for an example. The Calf Fluidsynth instance is on the Master MIDI bus. (This assumes a soundfont file TimGM6mb.sf2 which is in /usr/share/sounds/sf2 on my system, but of course you can just change that to any GM soundfont that you have available.)
BTW, great release! Qtractor has really come a long way, and thankfully LV2 1.0 is out now so that we finally have something more or less stable to base our plugins on. :)
Happy new year!
Albert
BTW, the Calf LV2 plugins I'm using are those packaged by falktx here: https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-team/+archive/plugins, sources at https://github.com/falkTX/calf. But the original sources from http://repo.or.cz/w/calf.git/ should work the same.
probably solved on svn trunk rev.3123+ (aka. qtractor 0.5.7.3+)
Wow, that was lightning-quick. Just tried rev. 3123 and it indeed works like a charm, so you can close this bug. I'll also give falktx a heads up so that he updates his qtractor-svn package. Many thanks!
