I'm using qtparted from SystemRescueCD. I have a single 160gb hard drive with several partitions. The last couple hda4 - an extended partition has hda5 the ext3 partition I want to resize. I understand ext3 types cannot be resized directly. I used tune2fs to convert hda5 to ext2, then I ran qtparted, select hda5 and choose resize. I want anywhere from 10-15GB free space after. Upon clicking OK I get an error "ped_file_system_open" error.
Should I not be able to resize this last partition, then create another partition in the resulting freespace? Please advise.
Thanks
