#7 QTParted wont resize my fat32 partition

When booting using knoppix, i loaded up QTParted. i
clicked on my windows partition, and after it loaded
(which took a suprisingly long time), I clicked resize.
it took me to the dialog where i resisized the
partition from 111 to 81 (with 40 remaining gigs of
free space). i clicked ok, a blank message box popped
up, and the resize dialog closed.

I have the same issue with backtrack linux live CD when
trying to resize a ntfs partition. The size is 55.83GB I
want to take it down to 35GB. Its just a blank dialog box
with a "i" in it and an "ok" button.
